Fear and Love

In 1995, my wife, Kathy, was asked what she hoped to get out of a bible study. She said, “I want to learn about God’s love. I’ve always feared God, assuming He’s waiting for me to mess up.”
A few months later, Kathy discovered a lump in her breast. Two doctors said she was fine, but she wasn’t sure. She asked me to pray.
God urged me that Kathy needed a biopsy. Because of our insistence, the doctors discovered an aggressive breast cancer.
Kathy learned God should be feared and loved. Feared, because her life was at His mercy, but loved because God cares for her.
Kathy relates to Psalm 66:16 that says, “Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.”
