Modeling Excellence
By: Rick Boxx
March 25, 2015

After spending the night at my friend Jeff’s house, I was cleaning the bathroom and bedroom I had used. As I examined the bathroom I found myself cleaning the shower doors and making sure the sink was spotless.

Although I always try to leave things as they were before I used them, I went beyond what I might normally. The reason why was because Jeff models excellence.

Whether it’s his home or his business, Jeff pays close attention to the details. In the process, he raised the standard for me.

In 2 Thessalonians 3 Paul wrote that he worked hard, “in order to offer ourselves as a model for you, so that you would follow our example.”

If you desire to inspire others towards excellence, be like Jeff and model it for them.
