A Strong Foundation

In January, Dayton Moore, General Manager of the Kansas City Royals, told our luncheon guests that sometimes it takes years to accomplish excellence.

When Dayton signed on with the Royals, the team had performed poorly for many years. Dayton knew that it would take years to build a “strong foundation” and “farm club” before they could ever expect a high performing team.

The fruit finally came in 2014 when the Royals won the American League Championship!

Luke 6:48 teaches, “They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.”

To build an excellent organization you need to first lay a strong foundation.
