A Wrong Number
By Rick Boxx
March 8, 2011

When Joe called, his name popped up on my Caller ID so I answered, “Hi, Joe.” He immediately stated, “Did you know you’re scheduled to speak tomorrow morning at TGIW?”

My mind and heart raced as I said, “Joe, I’m not scheduled to speak until the end of March.”

“No, Bob, you’re scheduled to speak tomorrow. I’ve emailed you several times.”

“Bob?” I said, “Joe, this is Rick, not Bob.” We both had a good laugh as we realized Joe had dialed the wrong number.

James 3:2 teaches, “We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.”

We all occasionally make mistakes. Fortunately, some of them we can laugh about.
