Nehemiah's Seven Step Plan: Step 5
By: Rick Boxx
June 12, 2015

This week we’re discussing Nehemiah and his effective seven step planning process. The fifth step in the process of developing an effective plan is to “Count the Cost.”

Nehemiah knew his project required the king’s resources, so he was prepared when the king asked him what he needed. Because of Nehemiah’s preparation the king granted his requests.

In business, if we don’t consider the cost of our project, we will likely be embarrassed when we run out of money.

In Luke 14:28 Jesus said, “For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?”

If you’re developing a plan for your business, don’t forget to count the cost. It could save some embarrassment.
