Nehemiah's Seven Step Plan: Step 3
By: Rick Boxx
June 10, 2015

This week we’re discussing the Old Testament leader Nehemiah and his effective seven step planning process. The third step to Nehemiah’s plan was to “Seek God’s Vision.”

Nehemiah was cupbearer to the king of Persia. For him to go to Jerusalem to rebuild the walls was not a step he would take randomly. Through his fervent and focused prayers he began seeking God’s vision not only for himself, but also for Jerusalem.

In Nehemiah 2:18 we read, “I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me and also about the king’s words which he had spoken to me.”

Many in business have vision, but their vision is often money or fame. For God’s favor on your work, seek God’s vision, which may be different than your own.
