Are You Isolated?
By Rick Boxx
January 13, 2011

After Kathy and I committed our lives to Jesus, many of the couples we used to spend time with disappeared. Our changed lifestyle drove some away and others became offended by our beliefs.

The Barna Group's research noted that Christians are becoming more spiritually isolated from non-Christians than they were ten years ago. It's difficult to be light to a dark world if we live and work in isolated silos.

Jesus taught in Matthew 5:14-15, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house."

This year I pray for my light to shine more brightly. What about you?
