Labor Day Celebration
By: Rick Boxx
September 1, 2014

For many people the last thing they want to celebrate is their labor. A recent Gallup poll revealed that 70% of people surveyed are disengaged with their work. Labor Day celebrations are more likely to commemorate the day off than for their work.

God created Adam specifically with a purpose to work as a rancher. In Genesis 1 we read, “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

This Labor Day weekend, consider helping those who are disenchanted with their work by reminding them about God’s design for work.
