Productive Work

The percentage of people not involved in the workforce is now more than 36%, according to the Wall Street Journal. This legitimately includes the retired, disabled, and people actively looking for work, but it also includes many who refuse to work.

Their refusal to work robs them of the joy that can come from hard work, and drains our nation’s productivity.

The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 3, “We did not act in an undisciplined manner among you, nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but with labor and hardship we kept working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you.”

God’s design is for us to be productive. Let’s help others become productive and discover the joy of work.
