Life-Changing Midnight Revelation!

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit. And they preached God's message with boldness (Acts 4:31).

Dear friends:

One summer in the early years of the Campus Crusade ministry, Vonette and I were invited to spend a few days resting in the Newport Beach, California home of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Fuller.

Dr. Fuller, a famous evangelist, conducted the "Old Fashioned Revival Hour" on the radio and was the founder of Fuller Theological Seminary.  I had the privilege of being the best man at Dan and Ruth's wedding.  The Fuller family was very dear to us, and we accepted the invitation gratefully.  Vonette and I were both very tired.  Our schedule had been extremely busy day and night, with no vacation for several years, and we could think of nothing more inviting than having a few days to sleep, lie in the sun and swim in the ocean.

The midnight hour had come and gone by the time we had arrived and we were too tired to unpack.  Some time near one o'clock in the morning we wearily climbed into bed and fully expected to be asleep by the time the light was out.

But God had other plans.  As I turned over to go to sleep, I found my mind flooded with truths concerning the Holy Spirit.  Fearful that I might forget them if I didn't write them down, I got up to look for pencil and paper and found several shirt boards.  After filling the shirt boards, I found some brown wrapping paper and continued to write furiously.

That night God gave me the truths concerning the Person and work of the Holy Spirit that have been basic to the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ through the years.

This material has now been incorporated into our Bible study course, Ten Basic Steps Toward Christian Maturity, and the Transferable Concepts, which are being used by many churches and various Christian organizations around the world.

This basic biblical and revolutionary concept of how to be filled with the Holy Spirit has been condensed into a small booklet comparable to the Four Spiritual Laws presentation and entitled, "Have You Made the Wonderful Discovery of the Spirit-filed Life?"  This Holy Spirit booklet has also been printed by the tens of millions In more than 200 languages and is being used by many thousands of Christians all over the world to help lead carnal Christians into an abundant and fruitful life in the Spirit as well as to help new Christians understand their spiritual heritage in Christ.  Like the Four Spiritual Laws presentation, this brief presentation of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is having revolutionary results.

The booklet is available online in many languages here.

Yours for fulfilling the Great Commission each year until our Lord returns,
Bill Bright
