Hands-on Faith for Families – Week of July 11, 2016

Theme: The Bible Is More Than a Book

The Source of Wisdom

Scripture:Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:108 ESV).

Play: Have your children tell you as many “wise” sayings as they can think of in two minutes. One example might be, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”

Talk: Not all of these sayings are true or really wise. The way we measure what is wise is by deciding if it agrees with what is in the Bible. The Bible is the ultimate source of wisdom (Psalm 119:105). By studying Scripture, we grow in wisdom. What wisdom have you learned from your favorite Bible story or verse?

Pray: Thank God for the wisdom the Bible gives you, and ask Him to help you apply what you learn.
