God’s Friend

"And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, 'Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,' and he was called God's friend." James 2:23

Surrounding ourselves with the right THEY is crucial to getting the most out of life. The people closest to us must share our deepest convictions, our strongest beliefs, and our most passionate desires. But none of that matters if we don’t first establish the most crucial relationship anyone can have – a relationship with God.

Scripture tells us that Abraham was considered “God’s friend.” That was because Abraham had faith in who God was and he had complete trust in what God had in store for him. That belief and trust led Abraham down an amazing path, one where he experienced his full potential. Have you put your faith and trust in who God is? That is the first key to discovering the power of the right THEY in your life as well!

Ask God to help you focus first and foremost on your relationship with Him. Thank Him for the opportunity to know Him and to grow with Him as the focus of your life.

A relationship with God starts with spending time with Him daily. It also requires commitment to God’s House. Make church attendance a priority this weekend – and every weekend – as you discover a life surrounded by the right THEY.
