Spur One Another On

“And let us consider how we may spur ONE ANOTHER on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging ONE ANOTHER --and all the more as you see the day approaching.” -Hebrews 10:24-25

Commitment is pledging yourself to a position, no matter what the cost. And when we learn what real commitment is and begin to implement it in our lives, we discover how to crash through those quitting points we all hit in life. But we can’t just be committed to anything. We need to be committed to the right things, the things God is committed to. And the local church is one of the most crucial.

Jesus gave Himself up for the church. And when you commit to the local church, you discover more than just a place to be; you discover a place to truly belong. It’s where you find others who will be devoted to you, and to whom you can stay devoted. Don’t try to do life alone. Instead, discover the encouragement and community found in the local church!

Thank God for the local church. Thank Him for a  place where you can belong, invest, and discover the power of true community. And ask Him how He wants you to step up and commit even more!

Spread the word about the church you are connected with. Share your story of connection and community with others so they can experience it as well!
