Here, There, & Everywhere

“Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.” –Romans 12:1

THINK
Many would say that worship is something you would do inside a church, that it occurs when you sing or are moved by a message. Yet, the Bible encourages you to come to church “worshipping” and not just to worship. The goal of the Christ-follower is to know that God is the center and focus of every thought and action. Yet too often, we allow distractions to remove our focus from God onto ourselves, our ambition, our plans.

A.W. Tozer said, "Without worship, we go about miserable." God doesn’t want you to be miserable! He wants you to experience His very best every day. He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. When you worship anything or anybody outside of Him, not only will your worship be misplaced but it will also be a barrier that keeps you from God’s best.

You are wired for worship. It’s etched in your heart. It’s a natural instinct and a basic need for every person. Wherever you go today, focus your worship.

PRAY
Ask God to reveal barriers that may be keeping you from experiencing His best. Ask for renewed focus and dedication to live this day for Him, in every thought and action.

ACT
Worship at home, at school, or at the office today. Worship by giving God your very best effort. Focus on the attitude of your heart and the purity of your actions.
