SYMPATHY
Jesus wept.
FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, when you feel sorrow, I know what you go through. You are not alone. During those times, My arms will enfold you and hold you close until the hurt has gone. Comfort and peace are yours for the asking. And the peace I give is different from the words of others. Only I can turn your weeping into joy. Your sorrow will endure only a short time in light of eternity. In the morning, light will come, and I will restore your joy.
A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
When my heart is bowed in sorrow, so is Yours, Lord. You know what it's like to hurt. You know the feelings of sympathy, and the pangs of empathy. You've grieved at the plight of others' faithlessness. And You've mourned for the whole world, including my own sins. When I hurt, You hurt. Thank You, Lord, for the comfort of your presence.
SIMPLE TRUTH
Tears are God's way of cleansing the heart.
