MORE COURAGEOUSLY

Read: Philippians 1

Key Verse: “Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.” Philippians 1:14

Persecuted for his faith in Jesus, the apostle Paul wrote this letter from jail. Notice his attitude and priorities during his suffering. He was focused on the spreading of the gospel, not himself. Finding the positives in the situation, he pointed out that other Christians had become bolder because of his circumstances. There were many brothers who began to share their faith without fear and continue the work of the ministry while Paul was locked up in jail. You can hear the joy and encouragement from Paul in this verse, as he knows more and more people were hearing about Jesus.

How courageous and fearless are you with sharing the gospel?
How often during the week do you spread the good news?
Are you asking God for boldness?
To whom would you tell the gospel if you had more courage?

Let the example of Paul and the other brothers spur you on to new levels of boldness today!
