Read: Habakkuk 2

Key Verse: “Then the Lord replied: Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.” - Habakkuk 2:2

God could announce His message through His booming heavenly voice, but usually He chooses His people. God takes pleasure in displaying His greatness through our weaknesses. God gave you a voice and He has purposes for your words. Are listening to God about what you should be saying to the different people in your life? What good news has God given you to spread in your community and nation? How are you doing it?

A few principles stand out from this verse: 1) The message needs to be God’s Word, not your opinions or the newspaper articles or the popular gossip. Nothing changes lives like the Scripture. 2) Making it plain means being direct, honest, bold, and clear as you speak. Are you communicating in a way that your hearers can understand? Do more than just drop hints, connect with hearts. 3) Running implies a sense of urgency. Do not keep waiting when God tells you to speak now. Excitement, passion, and love should be seen in your communication. Are you running with the gospel or just crawling with it? Make a decision to start running!
