ENCOURAGEMENT

Read: 2 Thessalonians 2

Key Verse: “May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope.” - 2 Thessalonians 2:16

Are you very encouraged? To be encouraged is to gain courage and strength. Here are some experiences that can discourage: 1) A relationship that develops conflict and distance 2) Choosing sin instead of faithfulness 3) Dreams that are not becoming a reality, expectations that are not happening 4) A delay in timing that feels unnecessary 5) Challenges with physical health. Jesus can help you overcome all of these situations.

The hope that Jesus brings is eternal; there is no ending point or difficult situation that can remove His hope. The best encouragement and healing comes through a close relationship with Jesus. ‘Himself’ is a key word in this passage; pray to Him, seek Him, cling to Him and listen to Him! Because He loves you immensely and His grace is greater than our sins, you have no reason to despair. Jesus will give you the right perspective, the right plan moving forward, the right adjustments, and the right comfort. Soak up His goodness and kindness and let Him lift your head again.
