SEEKING THE LORD

Read: Zephaniah 2

Key Verse: “Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord’s anger.” - Zephaniah 2:3

Seeking the Lord is a continual theme of the Bible. What does it look like to seek the Lord? Here are some aspects for your consideration and application:

1)    Are you placing anything or anyone in your life above God?
2)    Are your prayers earnest and authentic?
3)    Are you setting aside any time for fasting?
4)    Are you listening closely to the Holy Spirit?
5)    Are you spending enough time with God in Scripture?
6)    Are you willing to go, say, and do whatever God wants?
7)    Are you entering into worship?

A deep and rich relationship with God begins with His love and grace for us. Our response should include hunger, honor, and holiness. The enemy and the world want you to half-heartedly seek God. Do not fall into that trap. You will be satisfied when you fully seek God with all your heart!
