THE APPLE OF YOUR EYE

Read: Proverbs 7

Key Verse: “Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.” - Proverbs 7:2

The pupil is the apple of your eye, and it is protected because of its value. God has given you His very words, and they are to be treasured. No one puts their valuables outside their front door. Instead, they are hidden in a house or taken to a vault in a bank. You protect what is most precious to you. Do you cherish the Scripture by spending time daily in the Bible and storing the message in your heart during the day?

Psalm 17:8 tells us that we are the apple of God’s eye. Do you know how incredibly special you are to God? How does Jesus demonstrate His love to people who are rejected by the culture? Because he first loves us, we also love Him and follow His commands. God’s instruction gives life, hope, and wisdom. If you ignore, deny, or try to manipulate it, you will have less joy and more burdens and regret. The world tries to take God’s Word out of your life, but you can choose to digest it, meditate on it, and be devoted to it today!
