SEEKING

Read: Psalm 119

Key Verse: “Blessed are they who keep His statutes and seek Him with all their heart.” - Psalm 119:2

How do you seek God? In silence? Through fasting? By reading more of God’s Word? Extended times of worship? Confessing sins? By meditating on God’s truth and character? As you are serving? When do you feel closest to God? Have you experienced the Holy Spirit’s power recently?

The psalmist reminds us that drawing close to God always includes obedience. There is an anointing of the Holy Spirit on people who are intentionally doing what God asks them to do. Refraining from what God forbids is equally important. Obedience leads to more light and more insights and revelations from God. Are you walking according to God’s Word and decrees? The path of God’s commands leads to more of His presence.
