LIFE IS SHORT

Read: Psalm 39

Key Verse: “You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is nothing before you. Each man’s life is but a breath.” Psalm 39:5

My grandmother recently passed away at the age of 98. That sounds like many years, and it is a long life; but the time went by quickly. It does not seem very long ago when I was traveling across the country with her in a white station wagon. Going to her house for Christmas felt like a tradition that would never end. Her last days remind me that our time on earth is short.

Find God’s purpose for your life. Know God deeply, listen to Him, and tell people about Jesus, leading them towards heaven. Forgive quickly and fully. Savor blessings. Choose sobriety. Do not waste your life. Get rid of complaining and slandering. Don’t despair-every trial is very temporary. David said our life is like a breath. Let that revolutionize your faith and promote love.
