SONGS OF JOY

Read: Psalm 132

Key Verse: “I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints will ever sing for joy.” - Psalm 132:16

When was the last time you have been filled with joy? One of the distinguishing marks of the presence of God is joy. God dwells in the temple in a powerful way, and His people receive His goodness and strength. Nearness to God can change your day, your disposition, your direction, and your destiny. God chose you, resides within you, empowers you, and directs you through the Holy Spirit. Surrendering to God’s will is the path to the maximum amount of joy and the deepest relationship with the Holy Spirit.

To be clothed with salvation has many implications. Receiving salvation includes the forgiveness of sins forever. Enjoying salvation includes thanking God for His blessings. Offering salvation includes telling other people about how to walk with Jesus and have eternal life. Let your character be transformed by God through His work of salvation in your life. There is a lasting joy for you when God is truly at the center of your life. The psalm describes this experience by pointing out that the crown on your head will be resplendent.
