Starting Over With God-Part 5

October 7

Not walking in childlike faith brings complacency. When we find ourselves complacent in the things of God, what do we do? You may say, “I have become merely a church attender and nothing is really stretching you; I am just coming and going through the motions.” My friend, you are complacent and you have become a casual Christian, but you say you want to change. Okay, if this is where you are there needs to be confession. You see, for the believer we are saved, and we have exercised faith in repentance, as we believed. All this happened at the same time, but when we sin after salvation and the Holy Spirit reveals to us where we are, there needs to be a time of confessions. My friend, agree with God that you have a weak faith, a wavering faith, and that you are afraid to just step out there and go and just let it happen.

Remember what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 1:6 - “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
