Are You Fruitful?

October 6, 2014

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” - Galatians 5:22-25

So many times we beg God to give us more patience, more joy, more peace, or more love for the lost. As children of God the Holy Spirit lives inside of us, therefore His fruit is inside of us.

We have to think of God as an eternal God…who has no beginning and He has no end. God sees us from an eternal perspective and therefore we have a new past, present, and future.  Everything we beg God for He has already given to us to live a godly life right here on this earth. We just need to believe and walk in light of what He has already given to us and stop begging Him for what we already have.

Self must be crucified. You must realize it is, “Not I but Christ.” As we walk under the power and control of the Holy Spirit, we are being led by the Spirit, and the fruit of the Holy Spirit will come through our life.
