God’s Character – Part 2

October 3, 2013

In Exodus 3, God said to Moses, “I Am Who I Am, Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, I Am has sent me to you.”

In the gospel of John 8, Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I Am.”

These simple words “I Am” express God’s eternal and unchanging existence. No dependence could be placed by any one of us upon a changeable God. He must be the same yesterday, today, and forever if we are to have any peace or comfort. His name “I Am” includes everything the human heart longs for and needs. My friend, “I Am,” who is God, is all that you need, and He lives inside of you forever.
