A Rest For Your Soul-Part 5

November 8

Galatians 2:20–  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Self-centeredness causes a lot of the inner conflict that we find. When Jesus was on the cross He took our self-centered nature, the old man, the flesh to the cross and He crucified it there.

You and I, upon salvation are free from the initial burden of sin. Saved, born again, born from above, and a home in heaven. As a child of God there is the burden of self…the flesh. This is that part of us that wants to have our own way instead of God’s way, we are torn between wanting our way and living God’s way. My friend, there is freedom from this struggle and it comes with surrender. You see the greatest thing that can happen once you become a child of God is for you to understand that you are in Christ and Christ is in you.  All of Christ lives in all of you!
