A Rest For Your Soul-Part 4

November 7

Galatians 5:22– But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Our personalities were not made to be self-centered; they are made to be God centered. Your personality, when it is right should be a reflection of the fruit of the Holy Spirit…love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.

If you are not like this, then what people see is your selfishness. You see sin separates, and instead of making us Christ-centered it makes us self-centered and it causes us to have an inner conflict. You see, there is a war going on within us and it is a war between the flesh and the Spirit. We want to have our own way but the Spirit works within our spirits to pull us back to Christ-centeredness. We all have this struggle if we are saved. It should bother the child of God to give way to the flesh. It should bring conviction to your soul as God’s Spirit reveals to you that you are sinning as His child and that is a good thing because God’s conviction is evidence that you are His child that you have been born again.
