A Rest For Your Soul-Part 8

November 11

Hebrews 4:9-10– There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

When you say as a Christian that it is no longer I but Christ, you are choosing in that moment the rest of surrender. You are giving God complete control of your life. You choose to be weak so that He might be strong in you. You decrease so that He might increase. There is the rest of surrender for a spirit-filled believer down here on this earth.

And while we live moment-by-moment and day-by-day yielding to the Holy Spirit, the day will come when we will enter a future rest, and this future rest is when we are absent in our bodies and present with the Lord. Amen!
