Peaceful Living

May 15, 2013

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Romans 8:6he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”  - James 1:8

Peace is experienced as we avoid double-mindedness.  As Christians, we simply ask God for wisdom, make our requests to Him, and then thank Him for His answer whatever it may be.  We refuse to doubt God’s goodness.  How can we cultivate this in our lives?  By knowing that true peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.  We can’t fake it.  We can’t conjure it up.  As we die to ourselves, His supernatural peace flows in and through us.

Each person is at fault for not having His peace, we cannot blame it on anyone else.  Simply begin today, this very moment to abide like a child in God our Father.  This moment-by-moment abiding in Him will bring the peace you long for and as a result your life will build up those who are around you.
