Genuine Humility-Part 7

March 26, 2015

Ephesians 5:15-16“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Think about Lucifer in heaven before he sinned. He was the most wise and beautiful of all of God’s created order and then because of his wisdom, because of his beauty, because he was in close proximity God, what did he do. The Bible says that iniquity was found in his heart…pride was found in his heart. My friend, God was not shocked because God is an all-knowing God, so God put Lucifer out of heaven. We know Lucifer today as Satan or the Devil. He was cast out of heaven along with a third of the angles we now know are demons and they are now trying their best to cause you and I to be conformed to their image. My friend, Satan cannot cause a believer to lose his salvation but he can get us to be so enamored with this world’s system, that he is the ruler of for a time, that more and more because of our wrong thinking and our “flesh” it is almost easier to go the world’s way than God’s way. It seems that mankind is loosing the battle, but my friend, God is not loosing the battle because at the cross Jesus won the victory forever. His victory is our victory! The problem for believers is that today most are not in the Word of God, being led by the Spirit of God, and their minds are not being renewed and transformed. Because of their worldliness, their mind is being conformed to this world’s system. This is a constant struggle for all of us and we will not be free from this struggle until Jesus comes to take us home. Choose today to turn from this world, which is Satan’s kingdom for a time, and set you mind upon the One who died for you and as you at the cross.
