Abandoned to God-Part 11

March 16, 2016

Matthew 6:19-20 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.”

I don’t know what you’re holding on to in the Christian life that God would have you let it go, but I can tell you that compared to God’s best for your life and mine it is not worth holding on to.

My friend, God’s grace is expensive, it cost the life of his Son Jesus Christ.  Don’t waste what God has given you by trying to hold on to the things of this world that are temporary and passing away. Think eternally, and lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust cannot destroy and thieves cannot steal.
