How To Pray-Part 6

June 8, 2015

Ephesians 2:4-6But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,”

The Bible says that Jesus Christ is our Advocate before the Father. He is our Mediator. There is only one-way to heaven and it is through Jesus Christ. You see the death of Jesus Christ was a sacrificial substitutionary death.  When Jesus died on the cross He atoned for the sin of the whole world. What God demanded from mankind to be right with Him, mankind could not pay. The Bible says without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. So, Jesus Christ paid the price that we owed God. He came to pay a price He did not owe because we all owed a price we could not pay. Jesus became our SIN, He cried out on the cross, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me.”  He literally and completely died as both God and man, as your substitute and mine. His spirit left His body and He atoned for our sin once for all. He does not have to go to the cross again. My friend, this is why when you look at a Protestant cross Jesus is not on it. If you look at a Catholic cross Jesus is still there. He died, my friend, for SIN once for all. It is FINISHED! AMEN! Jesus is no longer hanging on the cross. He is now and forever in heaven seated at the right hand of God the Father.
