The Believer’s Consecration Of The Christ Life-Part 15

July 28, 2014

1 John 1:8– “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

What are some of the idols in your life? You might want to meditate on this question and be honest with yourself and God? You think about the idol of money. It is said that you can always tell where a person’s allegiance is when you take away their money. What about the idol of friendship? You have friends in your life that you are unequally yoked with and there are problems, but you continue to hold onto those friendships. But the biggest idol we have in our lives is “self.” We sometimes find it easier to hand over everything else to God except absolute control of “ourselves,” but this is what He wants. God wants you and I to close our eyes and say it is no longer I, but it is Christ. My friend, only Christ working in you by the indwelling Holy Spirit can produce a live that pleases Him, and God will use every situation in your life to show you your need for Him.
