Keeping Your Mind on God

July 16, 2013

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.  For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” - Colossians 3:1-3

How do you keep your mind on God? Have a quiet time everyday involving the reading of God’s Word. When you read God’s Word, read between the lines like you would if it were a letter from someone you loved. Pray and meditate on the word of God. Talk to God the same way you talk to your closest friend and ponder what He says to you.

Practice the presence of God all through the day. This means to continue all through the day what you started in your quiet time.
