Carried Away

July 11, 2013

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” - Proverbs 23:7

Do you long to be carried away by the presence of God to a restful and joyful place? More often than not, do you find yourself carried away by your feelings; feelings that bring discouragement, hopelessness, and a sense of failure in every area of your life?

In those moments of unwanted feelings, we must trust in God. We must trust in the facts of the word of God, not in our feelings. Pick up your Bible and read Psalms 23, Romans 8, and Philippians 4.

With the same trust you used to accept Him as your Saviour, trust His Word to be true and your feelings will follow, bringing joy, peace, and contentment. How we see and inwardly believe things to be will control our thoughts, effect our actions, and influence our feelings.
