Thanksliving-Part 5

January 27, 2015

As a child of God, Thankliving will involve us remembering God’s blessing. If we are going to live a life of Thanksliving, being a thankful child of God, let’s be reminded about the day of our salvation. Remember what you were prior to salvation. Remember what happened? Who came into your life? What did you see? What did you hear? Where God intersected Himself with your spirit and you began to pay attention to the things of God and you began to realize that you are a sinner separated from God and then you believed and received the Lord Jesus Christ and you were saved. My friend listen, what if you were still busy with life, busy with things and not even thinking about salvation, not even realizing that you’re lost and without Christ? We all need to sometimes just stop in our busyness and say, “Thank God I am saved.” Nothing else may be going right, but thank God I am saved. At salvation God became our Father. At salvation God’s Son became our Lord and Savior. At salvation God’s Holy Spirit became our Comforter. At salvation we are given a home in heaven. We no longer have to wonder what will happen when we die. We can know that we have a Father in heaven, we have brothers and sisters in Christ to help us through on this earth and we have a home in heaven.
