I Am A Church Member-It’s Not All About Me-Part 1

April 28, 2015

1 Corinthians 6:20“For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

I am to be last of all and I am to be servant of all. When I understand this it will affect my attitude about God and about others, which causes me to desire to serve and to lay aside my preferences and not to always have things my way. This should be the way we think in our families, our work place, as well as within our local churches. Because we are children of God, we have been placed in Christ and He lives inside of us by the Holy Spirit, we cannot separate what is spiritual from what is secular. We do not have the right to do what we want to do, we are to be spirit-filled and spirit-controlled. There is not one standard for when we are at church and when we are away from church. My friend, our standard is Jesus and He lives inside of every believer, so where you are there He is. We need to be the same wherever we are. This is what God has called us to 24/7. Everything we do should be done as unto the Lord. Our chief aim should be to bring Him glory, because every little thing we do, we do under the watchful and loving eyes of Almighty God.
