Transforming Your Prayer Life-When God Is Speaking-Part 9

April 14, 2015

When you read the Gospels, every time God healed somebody He always called them to do something.  Think about it? He told the lame to take up their bed and walk. He told the blind to go to the pool and rinse.

John 5:8“Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
John 9:7“And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” So he went and washed, and came back seeing.”

God called them to do something. He called them to do what they could not ordinarily do. He called them to do what they had never been able to do, but when they got up and moved God healed them. It called them to act on faith. And my friend, this is the way it is for you and me. Complacency, dullness, boring, we don’t read God’s Word, and we just don’t think to pray at all. This my friend, comes from being a person who simply has not mastered nor understands what it means to step-out and do what you think you cannot do and see God lift you up and carry you to do things that you never thought possible. Think about Joshua, God called Him to take the leadership of Moses. Can you imaging what Joshua thought about doing what Moses had been doing? We are all called to step out in our faith.

You and I need to line our will up with the will of God and keep our focus on God’s voice; there is no other way. Do you realize if you are truly saved, God’s Holy Spirit lives in you and He will empower you to do what He has called you to do?
