A Houston woman acquired a chair once owned by France’s King Louis XIV. Visitors to her mansion could look at the antique, but a velvet rope across it forbad anyone sitting in the chair. It was set apart from the other furniture, priceless and precious. God places certain things under the “ban.” They are His alone. He shares the bounty of creation with us, but when He marks something for Himself, it is His exclusively. What an honor to be set apart for God. Those men and women who’ve entered covenant with Christ have His identifying mark on them, and belong to Him and no one else.
