A Daily Word - April 26

April 26

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.
Proverbs 17:22

Down in the core of the engine room of the nuclear submarine Thresher, a leak developed in corroded pipes. The deadly dribble, it’s thought, became a spew, fouling the electrical system, and sending the sub down in 8,400 feet of water with all hands. What happens in your core—your heart—is vital for your whole being. You sink or swim based on your heart-condition. Joy is the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22). When that joy spreads, it even heals your “corroded pipes.”

All genuine Christians are involved in a fight. Sometimes it’s an inner struggle; other times it’s circumstances. Satan uses everything in his arsenal to keep you from fulfilling God’s plan and purpose for your life.

So how can you be on the winning side in the ongoing war against evil? And how can you win the specific battles you face in your own life?  Dr. Ed Young answers these questions in his booklet, How You Can Win Against Satan.
