Go On Gazing Ahead

'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' - Isaiah 41:10

If you’re alone in a frightening forest, you look constantly over your shoulder. No one is protecting your path. But if you’re safe in God, He surrounds you like the mountains around Jerusalem (Psalm 125:2). When you know someone is guarding the rear, you can relax, and keep your focus on the path ahead. The good news is that your Father is watching that, too.  Your adversary, the devil, prowls like a lion, writes Peter (1 Peter 5:8). But the promise is that God “scrutinize(s) my path and my lying down, and (is) intimately acquainted with all my ways” (Psalm 139:3 NASU).
