Go On in His Purpose

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. - Romans 8:28

A wag said if he could ask Egypt’s ancient Sphinx one question it would be, “Do we live on a friendly planet?” Put that query to a pauper sheltered in a shanty and a billionaire living in a penthouse and, surprisingly, the answer might be the same: “No, it’s mean, cruel, happenstance, dog-eat dog!” Pose the question to a person living in the promise of God’s purpose, and even the pauper will tell you that tears and blood are components of joy and victory. They know their lives in this world are woven of threads bright and grim, and they live in the joyful expectancy that the final garment will be lovely and radiant.
