Birth of James Strong. If you have ever used Strong's Concordance, you have benefited from this man's life. Strong was a successful businessman and founded the Flushing Railroad. An earnest Bible student, he taught in several institutions of higher learning, compiled the concordance and co-authored a Cyclopedia of Biblical Theology and Ecclesiastical Literature.
