More of the Same: Proverbs 4

today’s reading is proverbs 4

So, I don’t know what else I can say about this chapter than hasn’t already been said in the 1st 3. It comes across as a reiteration. Gain wisdom. Get understanding. Avoid people that will cause you to ignore wisdom and understanding. Live the fulfilling life God meant for you to have. All 4 of these chapters word it a bit differently, but it’s altogether the same key points. I guess these principles really are important, right?

We’ll see a shifting of gears tomorrow as Solomon begins warning us about adultery and sexual lust. Until then, it’s probably a good idea that we let these basic principles really sink in.

Let’s focus today on moments throughout the day where God may be sharing some wisdom with us. Let’s take a few minutes later on in the day to think about the things that have taken place and how we may gain understanding. I’m really curious to know who is taking part in this study so feel free to chime in with anything that has stood out to you during the reading of the 1st 4 chapters.

Join me tomorrow for Chapter 5.
