The media coverage is sensational. An American man living in Thailand confesses to the 10-year-old murder of child beauty queen Jon Benet Ramsey. As legal authorities work to determine whether his claims are true, already the cloud of suspicion that has hovered over Jon Benet's family for the past decade has begun to lift.

Good Morning America aired footage this morning of an interview Patsy Ramsey gave on a Christian television program shortly before she died from cancer. Mrs. Ramsey said in that interview that she had found a source of peace from this tragedy in her faith. She said although she would find it difficult, if her daughter's killer were ever caught, she would be obedient to God and forgive him.

When no one else believed her, she finally found peace in knowing that God knew her truth.

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where your integrity, character and sense of responsibility were questioned? Maybe the doubts were instilled by an offense as terrible as murder, yet still you felt the need to fight your battle, to prove your innocence.

In some cases, this is warranted. Patsy Ramsey never stopped searching for Jon Benet's killer or proclaiming that she and her husband had nothing to do with the crime.

At other times, we must turn to God and trust that as our Savior and our father, He's walking with us through the fire.

Psalm 25:5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
