The LORD's Dominion and Power

971 Yahweh reigns!
Let the earth rejoice!
Let the multitude of islands be glad! 2 Clouds and darkness are around him.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. 3 A fire goes before him,
and burns up his adversaries on every side. 4 His lightning lights up the world.
The earth sees, and trembles. 5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh,
at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. 6 The heavens declare his righteousness.
All the peoples have seen his glory. 7 Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images,
who boast in their idols.
Worship him, all you gods!

8 Zion heard and was glad.
The daughters of Judah rejoiced,
because of your judgments, Yahweh. 9 For you, Yahweh, are most high above all the earth.
You are exalted far above all gods. 10 You who love Yahweh, hate evil.
He preserves the souls of his saints.
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. 11 Light is sown for the righteous,
and gladness for the upright in heart. 12 Be glad in Yahweh, you righteous people!
Give thanks to his holy Name.

Praise for God's Righteousness

981 Sing to Yahweh a new song,
for he has done marvelous things!
His right hand, and his holy arm, have worked salvation for him. 2 Yahweh has made known his salvation.
He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations. 3 He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel.
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Make a joyful noise to Yahweh, all the earth!
Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing praises! 5 Sing praises to Yahweh with the harp,
with the harp and the voice of melody. 6 With trumpets and sound of the ram’s horn,
make a joyful noise before the King, Yahweh. 7 Let the sea roar with its fullness;
the world, and those who dwell therein. 8 Let the rivers clap their hands.
Let the mountains sing for joy together. 9 Let them sing before Yahweh,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness,
and the peoples with equity.

The LORD's Faithfulness to Israel

991 Yahweh reigns! Let the peoples tremble.
He sits enthroned among the cherubim.
Let the earth be moved. 2 Yahweh is great in Zion.
He is high above all the peoples. 3 Let them praise your great and awesome name.
He is Holy! 4 The King’s strength also loves justice.
You do establish equity.
You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob. 5 Exalt Yahweh our God.
Worship at his footstool.
He is Holy!

6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests,
Samuel among those who call on his name;
they called on Yahweh, and he answered them. 7 He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud.
They kept his testimonies,
the statute that he gave them. 8 You answered them, Yahweh our God.
You are a God who forgave them,
although you took vengeance for their doings. 9 Exalt Yahweh, our God.
Worship at his holy hill,
for Yahweh, our God, is holy!

Personal Greetings

161 I commend to you Phoebe, our sister, who is a servant [1] of the assembly that is at Cenchreae, 2 that you receive her in the Lord, in a way worthy of the saints, and that you assist her in whatever matter she may need from you, for she herself also has been a helper of many, and of my own self. 3 Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, 4 who for my life, laid down their own necks; to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the assemblies of the Gentiles. 5 Greet the assembly that is in their house. Greet Epaenetus, my beloved, who is the first fruits of Achaia to Christ. 6 Greet Mary, who labored much for us. 7 Greet Andronicus and Junias, my relatives and my fellow prisoners, who are notable among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me. 8 Greet Amplias, my beloved in the Lord. 9 Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and Stachys, my beloved. 10 Greet Apelles, the approved in Christ. Greet those who are of the household of Aristobulus. 11 Greet Herodion, my kinsman. Greet them of the household of Narcissus, who are in the Lord. 12 Greet Tryphaena and Tryphosa, who labor in the Lord. Greet Persis, the beloved, who labored much in the Lord. 13 Greet Rufus, the chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine. 14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers [2] who are with them. 15 Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them. 16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. The assemblies of Christ greet you.

17 Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them. 18 For those who are such don’t serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent. 19 For your obedience has become known to all. I rejoice therefore over you. But I desire to have you wise in that which is good, but innocent in that which is evil. 20 And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

21 Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you, as do Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my relatives. 22 I, Tertius, who write the letter, greet you in the Lord. 23 Gaius, my host and host of the whole assembly, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, as does Quartus, the brother. 24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all! Amen.
